Health Care for America Now! is launching nationwide on July 8 with the goal of getting quality, affordable health care that we can all count on in 2009.

Health Care for America Now! (HCAN) is a coalition of 75 organizations across the country--one of which is the Connecticut Citizen Action Group--working to build a grassroots movement supported by the people who demand better health care now!

CCAG is the lead organization for HCAN in Connecticut, and we want you to come to our launch event (coinciding with launch events all across the country) in Hartford on July 8.

What will it take to accomplish HCAN's goal:

It will take money

Taking on a multi-billion dollar industry means TV advertising and massive organizing. We'll need serious money to take these guys on.

It will take all of us

This is a coalition that will require all of us, from activists to big institutions. We need to do as much as we can to build an institutional coalition and activists across the country to work together to create this movement and to win.

It will take teamwork

They're going to spend billions of dollars trying to stop us and trying to divide us.

It is going to take urgency

We can't wait any longer. We have to work together, now.

So join us in Hartford on July 8, 2008 at noon.  We're meeting in Room 1C at the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106.
